The Yarn Registry...
I have struggled with organizing my yarn for a long time.
I like to roll the skeins into "balls" because it unwinds better while I'm crocheting or knitting.
The problem with this is that I then forget what wrapper goes with which "ball of yarn"...so I've been thinking on the best way to organize the yarn...
Last week I did some major reorganizing of my craft area and bedroom.
The yarn drawer became a yarn "tub"!! (I LOVE buying yarn on sale!!)
While in the process of cleaning and going through things I found all the yarn wrappers I'd been saving...it was time to do something with all of them!!
I decided to create a yarn registry!
So far, it's been really helpful and fun with all the pen colors!
I like to write what I made with the yarn and where I purchased it, for future reference...dates are fun too!
When I buy a skein of yarn, I now registry it before using it.
This gives me the dye lot, store, washing instructions, needle/crochet hook sizes, what I used it for, etc.
SO HANDY!!!
