Bright Shells Crocheted Blanket

Wedding Blanket

A cousin got married during the summer but I didn't get the gift done in time, so I completed it for Christmas.

It was more difficult than the previous blankets I had crocheted but it turned out lovely!!

The full blanket!

Bright Shells Stitch

All packaged up...

...and wrapped!
I chose white, yellow, and blue because those were the wedding colors.
The blanket turned out pretty and they like it!

New Years

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2014 IS HERE!!

O LORD,
Length of days does not profit me except the days are passed
in Thy presence,
in Thy service,
to Thy glory.
Give me a grace that precedes, follows, guides, sustains, sanctifies, aids, every hour,
that I may rely on Thy Spirit,
to supply every thought, speak in every word,
direct every step, prosper every work,
build every step, prosper every work,
build up every mote of faith,
and give me a desire to show forth Thy praise;
testify Thy love,
advance Thy kingdom.
I launch my bark on the unknown waters of this year,
with Thee,  O Father, as my harbor,
Thee, O Son, as my helm,
Thee, O Holy Spirit, filling my sails.
Guide me to heaven with my loins girt,
my lamp burning,
my ear open to Thy calls,
my heart full of love,
my soul free.
Give me Thy grace to sanctify me,
Thy comforts to cheer,
Thy wisdom to teach,
The right hand to guide,
Thy counsel to instruct,
Thy law to judge,
Thy presence to stabilize.
May Thy fear awe me,
Thy triumphs my joy.

Keep your eyes open to God's blessings in the coming year!
They are there!!

 ~ Kierstyn's Kreations

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
He hath made every thing beautiful in His time;..."

Package of Pink Presents

Think Pink!

My best friend has moved across the country to work.
We keep in touch but I miss her!!!
So, I sent her a package for Christmas.
Her favorite color is pink, so I made everything in pink and bought pink things for her!

Here are some pictures of the pink presents!

Crocheted scarf with bling!!

Fingerless gloves

Knit slippers

Pink lights, a journal, and a reminder of our forever freidnship!

All wrapped up and ready to be mailed!!

All this to say remember your family and friends that are near or far and bless them when ever you can!
Sometimes it's not the buying of a gift or even the making of one but the prayer prayed on their behalf, the letter written with love, a phone call out of blue; that makes all the difference!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is just around the corner and this will be my last post until after the Holiday.

I decided to show you a few photos of Christmas around here with some descriptions and best wishes to all of you!

Christmas doesn't start until our annual trip to the local tea room! To honor my grandma we go and enjoy a lovely afternoon!

The Tea Room

Tea Room table decor! So cute and simple!!
As a family we go and cut down a tree and then decorate it!
Our beautiful tree!!

Presents beneath the tree!

There's nothing like the lights on the tree glowing off the ornaments!

"In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him;
and without Him was nothing made that was made.
In Him was the life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not."
John 1:1-4
We love candles!!

One of our traditions is to make wine cakes and give to our family and friends.
Cakes packaged and ready for delivery.

We decorated the tops of the cakes with candy canes and Scriptures.

Merry Christmas from my puppy Mandy!

Don't forget the heart of Christmas!
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon His shoulder;
and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! !

Bill of Rights Day

Bill of Rights Day-December 15

James Madison, the author the Constitution introduced it’s first twelve amendments.
The House of Representatives adopted them on August 21, 1789 and formally proposed them by joint        resolution of Congress on the twenty-fifth of September. On December 15, 1791 ten of the twelve were       ratified. Virginia’s ratification of these amendments created the necessary three-fourths majority vote of the twelve states to make it law.
The Anti-Federalists; those opposing the ratification of the Constitution; were concerned that the document gave too much power to the new national government without defining the rights of the people.
The Bill of Rights was penned in order to secure the rights of the people from a government that would try to remove or redefine them.
These first ten amendments enumerates the freedoms not explicitly indicated in the Constitution:
1.Freedom of religion, speech and assembly
2.Right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of a well-regulated militia
3.No forcible quartering of soldiers during peacetime
4.Freedom from unreasonable search and seizure
5.Right to a grand jury for capital crimes and due process. Protection from double jeopardy, self-incrimination and public confiscation of private property without just compensation.
6.Right to speedy and public trial by jury and a competent defense
7.Right to trial by jury for monetary cases above $20
8.Protection against excessive bail or fines and cruel and unusual punishments
9.Rights not enumerated are retained by the people
10.Rights not given to the federal government or prohibited the state governments by the Constitution, are reserved to the States... or to the people
