White Tail Deer Diaper Cover Set

for 3-6 month olds

I also made this white tail deer diaper cover set.

It was a fun challenge from my mom!

She asked me to make this for a cousin of mine.

I used the the pattern I had for the giraffe hat and diaper cover set, making a few little changes.

Ducky Diaper Cover Set

Ducky Diaper Cover

for 3-6 month olds

A friend of mine is having a baby in December.

My shower gift was a crocheted diaper cover and hat that looked like a duckling.

I also crocheted leg warmers to match for the baby.

These diaper cover sets are a lot of fun, cute, and pretty easy to make!

Handy Kitchen Set

The Handy Kitchen Set:

A Wedding Present

Recently my mom and I were invited to a wedding

but were unable to attend.

So we put our heads together and made up the

"Handy Kitchen Set"!

The "Handy Kitchen Set" is made up three crocheted hot pads, three knit dish cloths, two scrubbers one knit and one crocheted, and one crocheted pot handle holder.

My mom did the knitting on this project and I did the crocheting.

I think it turned out pretty and cute and is a very useful and handy wedding gift!

I just love the brown and red colors!!

Wedding Parking Sign

Wedding Parking Sign

I was blessed to be able to help with a wedding recently.

We made lovely bows, prepped food, listened to the bride's plans and ideas, gave her a few of our own, helped with decoration set up, and listened to the lovely and talented soloist sing!

One thing that I took on myself, with help from my wonderful Dad and brother, was the "wedding parking sign".

"Dad and brother" always have scrap lumber, nails, and are so generous with their time!

They were a big help to this little project that I wanted to do!

I'm a "pinterest person".

The wedding ideas are some of my favorite!

And making this sign was the fulfillment of one of long held desires to make one thing that I had pinned!!

Thanks to my Dad and brother it was a success!

I pray that God blesses this special couple as they are starting their journey together!

Diaper Covers

Diaper Covers

Sorry that I've been so absent lately in my posting!

Things have been busy around here!

God is so gracious and good to encourage us through these busy (and sometimes crazy) times!

So, here is what I've been working on!!

They were so much fun to crochet!

Lord willing, I plan to make more since I have a baby shower to go to.

And a new baby cousin that just arrived on Monday!

Babies are such little miracles!!

This last order was a challenge and I loved it!

I was asked to make a lady bug hat and matching diaper cover and a puppy hat and diaper cover.

You may be saying: "What is that girl talking about?"

That's what I thought when my client asked for them!

But when I saw it I was so excited!

They are just adorable!

These hats and diaper covers are for 3-6 month olds.

The lady bug hat, complete with the spots and antennas.

Top view: Spots are sewed on all the way around.

Streams In The Desert

September 21st

"I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

Philippians 3:8

The autumn season we are now entering is one of cornfeilds ripe for harvest, of the cheerful song of those who reap the crops, and of gathered and securely stored grain. So allow me to draw your attention to the sermon of the fields.

This is its solemn message:

"You must die in order to live.

You must refuse to consider your own comfort and well-being.

You must be crucified, not only to your own desires and habits that are obviously sinful but also to many others that may appear to be innocent and right.

If you desire to save others, you cannot save yourself, and if you desire to bear much fruit, you must be buried in darkness and solitude."

My heart fails me when I listen.

But when the words are from Jesus, may I remind myself that it is my great privilege to enter into "the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings" (Phil. 3:10) and I am therefore in great company.

May I also remind myself that all the suffering is designed to make me a vessel suitable for His use.

And may I remember that His Calvary blossomed into His abundant fruitfulness, and so will mine.

Pain leads to plenty, and death to life-it is the law of the kingdom! from In the Hour of Silence
