Making Decor for Your Home
I like to do crafts that last as well as one time things for special occasions.
Making things with the littles in your family or circle of friends is always fun and interesting.
Lets face it, kids make a mess but its fun to watch them create!
When I was growing up one of my fondest memories was helping my mom make a wreath for our front door.
We bought a few things on sale at Walmart, used a hot glue gun and made something beautiful that I treasure and still hang up every year; granted, I gave it a face life last year.
Below are a couple ideas for making stuff for your home.
One is a kit I bought at Michael's and the other is a simple and fun idea you can do easily at home.
First: the "Thankful" craft kit from Michael's
Easy, fun, and came with everything except glue.
Put it together and hang it from your mantle, over your entry way, etc.
Second: The Hand Wreath
This really is simple!
Get some construction paper, a pencil, scissors, and tape or a stapler. Trace each family members hands, cut them out, tape or staple them together, add a ribbon or string and hang it from the door, window, etc.
Be sure your write the names of the individuals and their age on their hands, in the future it will become a piece of family history.
Check back in next week for another post on crafts you can do with the kiddies in your life!
